Epazote Tea
Epazote has been used as traditional medicine in South American cultures for quite some time and famously added to many Latin American dishes as a digestive aid.
Steeped as a tea, this herb boasts a leafy flavor profile that is mildly bitter with a lemony hint. It's infusion is a popular home remedy for several gastrointestinal ailments such as indigestion, gas, ulcers, constipation, bloating and cramps. It's leaves also contain compounds (ascaridole) that can be toxic to intestinal parasite, thus a home remedy for intestinal worms. Furthermore, the amount of vitamin A and antioxidants found in epazote make it an excellent way to boost your immune system.
With all these positive benefits I think its safe to say Epazote Tea is worth having in your weekly diet!
