Root Teas

What is a root tea?

A root tea is roots of plants that have been steeped in hot water to create a tea. Roots are commonly the most overlooked part of the plant and they are far more beneficial to our health than given credit for. Most root teas boast a similar flavor, an earthy robust profile, similar to where it can be found!

What is an adaptogen?

Root teas have their own unique set of health benefits that may differ from the pant that its grows. Root teas have been used for centuries in Ayurvedic healing, especially for their adaptogenic capabilities. The theory behind adaptogens says they help your body adjust to physical, chemical, or biological stress. They're thought to stimulate your body's stress-protection response and help its systems return to a balanced state called "homeostasis."
